Bond of Friendship!

Last night I dined with three of my close friends. One asked me why I am not leaving the country as I have some relatives abroad. Certainly a question to think about. Well! Actually I left my country when I was barely one and half years old. Then lived in a foreign country where I was fortunate enough to have some very nice friends.

But I had to leave that place and return to my own country when I was 10. Then lived in a small town of my own country with my parents and grand parents for another 10 years. But I had hardly any new friend in the new place. I felt alienated all the time. I had to face severe mental depression for my loneliness.

But fortunately I got admitted in a good university in the capital city lately. My creator has given me some very nice friends here and I am really grateful for that. I can say, this is something unique in human experience to enjoy the true friendship. I am happy indeed in this regard...

'Beginning' of the Story

Hi dear, not sure whether you would find my story interesting. The heroine of the story has found it okay herself, I mean so so! But let me know what you think. Sorry I am talking too much...It starts here, SHE was working during her summer vacation at the resort. Her bluish eyes were conveying her shock to see me single there... In fact it is unusual for loners to come here, such a romantic escape. And I discovered later, how shocking it can be to cruise some waters lone! I could manage only a week's holiday from my mission in Africa this summer and decided to spend the time at this lovely North African coastal castle town on mediterranean sea. I was enjoying the setting sun on the calm med and the intimate celebrations of the romance around by the love birds, human ones, albeit furtively! I didn't notice her while she was standing beside me. 'Sorry, are you alone?' I was not expecting such direct question, in fact there was a culture shock. And she was looking straigh...

A Great Journey of a Little Lad…

Aunt called me today evening, doctor told her, Abir did not need to visit him anymore. I felt much relieved. For the last three months we all were worried about her eight years old son; my little cousin Abir. It all started when we both had an eventful visit at a special place. But the succeeding months were more eventful. My uncle (my dad's cousin) and my aunt, both are employees of multinational companies. And their only son is the center of all their happiness. They always pamper him. Abir goes to one of the most expensive schools in Dhaka, gets everything from his parents; a child can imagine but remains confined in his little room except the school times. Lately he seemed lost his calm even with me-his best friend without any apparent reason. He couldn't tolerate home helps who usually took his care. His parents became worried for the change. But they failed to find any problem. One Saturday I proposed him to go with me somewhere unlike parks. He already lost his interest ...

Studying Literature and Falling in Love!

"He was a medical student. One day, in his practical anatomy class, he found the fresh body he was going to dissect was his fiancée's…" "Then? What happened next?" You know what happened or might happen if it were you! "You are spoilt! Literature has spoilt you. Better not talking to you." He departs. My brother, whom I was talking to, is a bright medical student, argues often with me why I don't get good grades. I am studying literature. Not only my brother, all of my peers have been getting great good grades in their respective subjects. And me; engaged in an eternal romance escaping from study! Or really do I? Yes I call it romance. What else? When I read the poems by Keats written after being inspired by the Greek classical literature, I can identify myself and remain engrossed by it. The worlds of the Keats' Odes become mine when I read those. Though I don't possess the mastery over words like him to express my feelings, I feel the g...
